Key Stage 1 and 2 Sports Day
On Thursday 6th June we held our annual Kenton Bar Sports Day! Key Stage 2 had theirs in the morning and Key Stage 1 took to the field in the afternoon. For both events the rain held off and we were blessed with sunshine and a cool breeze!
Our children in each key stage were split into eight teams, based upon their classroom groups, and they took part in a carousel of eight different events. We had racing with a beanbag on your head, balancing along a bench, a sprint, a relay, hurdles, football shot, beanbag throw and obstacle course to contend with. The children were brilliant and entered in to the spirit of the day with enthusiasm and 100% effort! We even had music to energise us and a beat or two to move us along.
We rounded off the sports day events with girls and boys year group sprint races. An element of competitive spirit danced its way around the children and we were delighted with how many of them threw caution to the wind and ran their socks off!
We were also fortunate to be joined by lots of parents, family and friends and we hope that you all enjoyed yourselves as much as the children and staff did! Thank you so much for attending, as your support makes all the difference to everyone involved. See you again in Summer 2020!
